Founded in 1953 by a group of men who liked to go fishing. We meet the 2nd Wednesday of each month at the Sheboygan County Marsh in the building behind the main building at 7pm. Our dues are $10.00 a year. Some of the more recent projects that we've been involved in include raising and planting fish not only in Crystal Lake but the Sheboygan Marsh and Sheboygan Quarry. Other things we have done are put in a permanent pier at Crystal Lake Public Boat Landing, donated money to Elkhart Lake Fire Department for Ice Rescue Equipment, started the adopt a river program, and help with outdoor activity/free fishing day. Every year we sponsor one 4 year scholarship. We belong to the Pheasant Program & Wisconsin Wildlife Federation and the SCCA. We have an annual Ice Fishery on 4 area lakes to raise money for club projects. If you are interested in joining our club or have questions, please contact us through Mike 893-0989 or Dorothy at 893-5497. The Crystal Lake Sportsman's Club 4 Lake's 2009 Fisheree is February 21. There is a poster at the launch. Tickets available at Nap's Place, Lakehouse Bar, F & M Bait, Mike's Bait & Gun in Kiel, and The Marsh Lodge. Buy plenty of tickets to support the club. The Sportsman's Club stocked 1860 walleye fingerlings in the lake this past fall. The fingerlings were between 5" and 7" inches with some 9" mixed in. Club hopes to stock walleyes every year or at least every other year depending on donations.
